Providing an overview of theoretical background of pronunciation, the importance of pronunciation skills, especially factors affecting first-year English major students’ pronunciation learning. Furthermore, some studies about factors affecting students’ English pronunciation learning are also presented; Describing the data collection instruments for the study, the context of the study, the participant, as well as the data collection procedures; Presenting the results of the data analysis, findings, and discussion of the study; Presenting the conclusion of the study and provides implicationsand offers suggestions based on the findings. This part also includes limitations and suggestions for future research of the study.

The research includes five main sections, namely Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings and Discussion, and Conclusion. Chapter 1 is Introduction that presents the rationale for the research study. Also, it indicates the research gaps in the previous research which related to the selected area. Additionally, the objectives of the study, the research questions, the significance, the scope, and the structure of the study are explained in this section. Chapter 2 clarifies the two key terms in the study as well as indicates the gap in the previous researchers towards the same research problems. More specifically, the researcher pointed out the definitions of pronunciation, aspects of pronunciation, and some common issues in learning English Pronunciation. In the same way, the definitions, the procedures, classifications of the shadowing technique, the advantages of the technique in learning English pronunciation, some studies on shadowing technique, and the summary of the chapter. Chapter 3 provides information about the study methodology, with detailed descriptions and explanations about participants, data collection instruments, and procedures. Chapter 4 presents and discuss the findings of the study discussions. Chapter 5 summarizes the whole study, addresses the limitations of the present study and proposes some suggestions for future research in the same field.
